- We never present an estimate as a guaranteed outcome or as legal advice.
- We do not invent statistics. Figures are sourced and dated.
- Commercial relationships never change a calculation or a recommendation.
Process
- Research using primary law and official data.
- Writing in plain English by our editorial team.
- Legal review by a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction. Reviewed pages name the reviewer at the top; pages without a named reviewer have not yet been legally reviewed.
- Scheduled re-review at least every 12 months, and within two weeks of major legal changes such as a new whiplash tariff or Judicial College Guidelines edition.
AI and automation
We may use software tools to help with research, drafting and checking. A person on the editorial team checks every figure against its source before publication, and the calculators use fixed, published formulas rather than AI-generated numbers.
Corrections
If you think something is wrong, contact us through the contact page. We review every report, correct confirmed errors promptly and record material changes in the methodology change log.
